Saw him in the 70's with Sugarcane(aka Hightide) Harris on guitar (who was great, the crowd really warmed to him) and few years later in a Bluesbreakers revival with Mick Taylor and John McVie. That actually looks like Mick Taylor on guitar - is it? Anyway this one was always a crowd favourite.

funny where this song originated on emptie rooms.. i think. one of the ones with john marn an honny almond mark-almond. but that album an dthe song was like acustic and no drumps but we got out of the finger style guitar blues , witch dont get me rong. rock! but its cool how the song evelved. long live john mayall but dont let him catch ya slip and say mayhall or hell give you a shitty proformence. i know better but ver herd people say mayhall and i just wanna tap them and say up . its mayall

My friend and I got arrested for 1 joint when I went to see him in Tampa at Curtis Hixon Hall in 1971. Took me years to get a chance to see him live. First time they ever used infrared cameras there. They snatched us up with many others that night. We were too young to mention names. Think it was May 8th.

I saw the original band playing this in Dublin way back when - sax, bass. no drummer - such a great show. This man without doubt is a true music legend. And there may be a 2009 UK tour, according to his website. Enough said.
