2009 will be the anniversaries of Tibet, Falun Gong & Tiananmen. First the 50th anniversary of the March 10 Tibet Uprising, then the 10th anniversary of the Falun Gong "sit-in", then the big one: the 20th anniversary of the June 4 military suppression at Tiananmen Square. On that date, the party showed it lacked the confidence to loosen its grip & open itself to independent accountability. Since then, it has pushed reforms, but always subordinated them to its own greed for power.

Listening to Tibetans talking about Tibet can give you a good understanding of a complicated country.

Lynch is ideal for a stronger reference to Tibet. The ignominy of continuous Chinese presence. Still.

I'm watching the serie right now and love it. This is one of the most funny scenes in it i think. Now I've gotta stop looking for Twin Peaks, I sont want to read any spoilers... Btw the audio preview on you tube sounds a little like the way the midget talks... Scary...

it did, and it got pretty awkward. there were at least 2 side-stories going on that had nothing to do with anything, and led nowhere. and ratings fell. the show tanked, and lynch walked out. at the very end, he came back and did his magic, but the damage was done. the worst part was that the show ending with several nail-biting cliffhangers that the movie barely resolved. id mention them, but it would be major spoilers.

This is true. I think Britians "Spaced" (with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost of Shaun of The Dead fame) isn't too far behind. If you are into surreal stuff and Kevin Smith and Tarantino flicks where pop culture is picked apart then youll love Spaced. Spaced just came out on DVD in the USA. GET IT
